Dave Berdan

Dave came to Strathroy in 2017 with almost 30 years of experience in youth ministry and working in schools, with a vision of opening up a place in Strathroy where youth could feel safe, heard and find belonging – a place where everybody knows their name.
In 2020, this dream came to life when 37 Frank Youth Centre opened; affectionately known as Frank’s, an eclectic cafe inspired youth centre where youth ages 13 to 21 can come, hang out with their friends, get free food and clothing, and get help navigating any of life’s challenges that may come along. At the youth centre, Dave can often be found playing multiple rounds of Uno with the youth, and usually losing.

He has been married to his wife, Jody, for 37 years and is the proud dad and grandpa of 4 amazing children and 4 (very cute) grandchildren. When he’s not at work, Dave can often be found going on walks with his two dogs – a Great Dane and Newfoundland, fishing, enjoying the great outdoors, spending time with family and working on his farm.
