Bike Tour Terms and Conditions

I hereby release from liability Southwestern Ontario Youth Unlimited YFC, sponsors and tour officials for any injury or ailment resulting from my participation in the Tour For Teens charity bike tour. I further state that I am aware that this ride is a strenuous activity and I have prepared properly for my participation in it.

1. By entering the Bike Tour event you agree to abide by the terms and conditions of entry.
2. All riders agree to:
a. Abide by the Highway Code at all times and to respect other road users.
b. Obey traffic signals, road markings and road signs. Pay attention to road conditions (potholes, etc)
c. Cycle the defined route of the Bike Tour event they have entered.
d. Wear the latest Tour for Teens shirt if possible, and approved cycling helmet

e.Use your bike bell/horn when passing to alert fellow riders

f. Do not make sudden stops or directional changes

g. Max. Two riders side by side (single file when traffic is present)

h. No ear buds

i. Follow instructions given by organizers or crossing guards of Tour for Teens

3. Your cycle must be of a construction that is legal to ride on public highways and must
be maintained in safe, roadworthy condition.
4. Each individual rider is solely responsible for his/her personal safety as well as being mindful of others safety at all times
5. Participants in the 100 km loop must be 14 years of age or more.
6. Riders under 16 years of age must be accompanied by any adult rider at all times.
7. By entering the Bike Tour, you give permission for free use of your name, voice or
picture in any broadcast, advertising, promotion or other account of this event.
6. In the event of the ride being re-organized or cancelled due to unforeseen
circumstances, we will endeavour to contact all entrants prior to the day.
7. By entering the Bike Tour you agree to raise money exclusively for the sponsoring
charity.
